On the 9th of March 2017 Disability Action Alliance members, BlueAssistUK met with Penny Mordaunt, Minister for Disability, Health and Work, to discuss potential strategies for moving forward with the BlueAssistUK initiative, which includes transport staff disability training and awareness.
The outcome of the meeting proved very hopeful and promising for the initiative, and the promotion of improved accessibility for all disabled people.
BlueAssistUK works to bridge the gap… between the needs of disabled people and their communities by providing a system of communication. With the BlueAssist symbol and tools, disabled people can express their needs and feel confident when engaging with the community around them. BlueAssistUK are very pleased and proud to be supported in our promotion of accessibility by the Minister and the Office for Disability Issues.
