The ‘X’-Card project is a new project being considered by the DAA. The project is looking to develop a card that will support disabled people to live independent lives. It aims to do so by providing identification of disability and information related to any assistance the cardholder may require.
The project is currently at the concept stage. As part of further exploring the feasibility of this project, the ‘X’-Card sub group needs to build an evidence base to determine the following:
- The demand for this sort of card,
- The requirements the card would be expected to meet,
- The structures in place to deliver the card.
We are appealing to our members to help to develop this vital evidence base. We are looking to gather information from a range of organisations and from individuals that are disabled or care for a disabled person. To support in gathering this information, please follow the link below to complete the ‘X’-Card survey.
If you require the questionnaire in a different format, please contact the DAA secretariat team on FULFILLING.POTENTIAL@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK.
If you wish to become involved in the project if it is determined from the evidence base to be feasible, please contact us on the above email address.
