DPTAC is a small independent advisory group offering advice and challenge to the Government and support to the transport industry to better meet the transport needs of disabled people.
DPTAC has been subject to review to improve its effectiveness and a recruitment process has started to appoint new members from April 2014.
DPTAC’s members are mostly, but not exclusively, disabled people. They have an extensive knowledge of private and public transport issues. Members are public appointees and their role is to press for the interests of all disabled people rather than any particular interest group or organisation. They are remunerated for their time and may claim to cover associated costs.
Further information on the role and on how to apply is available from DPTAC recruitment.
