Alliance Members, English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) are seeking new trustees to lead and grow the charity to support disabled people to be active for life.
Applicants do not need to work in sport – key attributes EFDS are looking for include sharing a passion to improve and increase opportunities for all; having enthusiasm and energy for the subject; and a genuine desire to make a real difference to people’s lives. They particularly welcome applications from disabled people or from people working in the wider disability sector.
These are unpaid but fulfilling roles and will involve approximately eight days a year for Board meetings (usually held in Loughborough). There will also be an away day and an expectation that Board members will be available for a limited number of key activities throughout the year such as sports events and conferences.
