Colleagues in DCMS have asked us to let DAA members know that the ITU Council Working Group on International Internet-related Public Policy Issues are running a consultation on ”Access to the Internet for Persons with Disabilities and specific needs” and have extended their deadline for responses to 29 January 2016.
The consultation will focus on areas such as:
Challenges faced by persons with disabilities and specific needs in accessing the internet, possible approaches and examples of good practise available to address the challenges faced, what gaps are there in addressing the challenges and how can they be filled and the role of the government in addressing the challenges and gaps.
