The Digital Inclusion project is part of our work on Increased Choice. Its aims, project updates and group members can be found below.
To improve disabled people’s digital engagement, including:
- helping those who provide digital services such as websites and apps to improve their digital offer,
- continuing to raise digital engagement awareness.
The project will undertake an assessment of the current situation, by means of a survey in the near future. The survey will help to build a better understanding of how accessible digital mediums are to disabled people at present.
The project group will support the Alliance for Digital Accessibility (ADA) where possible to help push forward an ever more accessible digital world, including sharing information from the survey if appropriate.
December 2015 – The Digital Inclusion survey report is now available below in word and pdf versions. Thanks to everyone who contributed. The Project team hope you find this report useful.
The Project group is considering the findings with a view to developing some help sheets to address some of the IT issues highlighed in the report during the first part of 2016.
September 2015 – Important news – Extension to “Digital Inclusion Survey” – now open until 25th September (5pm). Please do take a few minutes to complete the survey.
July 2015 – The projects’ “Digital Inclusion Survey” has been launched on 15th July, and will be open until 18th September. Please complete the survey here.
