We are setting up a new Access Advisory Group which will play a vital role in improving access for people with disabilities to the Royal Air Force Museum, London.
We are looking for members who would be able to advise and support staff in making our Museum as inclusive as it can be.
Who can apply?
Members of the group must:
- Live/have lived with a disability or have an understanding of living with a disability
- Have an interest in museums and a commitment to making museums accessible
- Have the ability and willingness to use their experience to help us improve access throughout the Museum
- Be committed to attending 4 meetings per year at the Museum
What is the time commitment?
The group will be meeting 4 times per year, on dates to be agreed. Meetings will last for approximately 3 hours and will be held during Museum opening times.
Is this a voluntary position?
Yes, the positions are unpaid but expenses incurred in attending the group meetings will be reimbursed (up to £10 per day, in line with Museum policy). Refreshments will be provided and you will also receive invitations to Museum events.
